Police Say Driver Blew Light, Caused Crash

A Glen Rock man has been issued a summons for allegedly running a red light and causing a two-car accident in Ridgewood Tuesday night.

According to police, the driver of a dark-colored sedan was headed south on S. Pleasant Ave. with a green light when the driver of a late model Jeep traveling east on Grove St. did not stop at the light, resulting in an accident.

The driver of the Jeep, Alexander Cole, age 35, of Glen Rock, was issued a summons for failure to observe a traffic signal, Cpt. Jacqueline Luthcke said Wednesday morning. Police said there were no injuries but both vehicles were towed from the scene.
