Raccoon Sneaks Into Business Friday Afternoon
The 'coon was apprehended from Pangea Antiques by Tyco Animal Control Officers
Paul Eisler had an unexpected customer on Friday – a furry fella with raccoon eyes. Tyco Animal Control officers and two Ridgewood Police officers were dispatched to on East Ridgewood Avenue early Friday afternoon to rescue a raccoon that had snuck in the front door.
"You would think a lion were here," Eisler, the owner, said of the response.
Eisler said the animal ran in and headed straight for the back. The raccoon, which is believed to have a broken leg, didn't create any damage and was safely caught by Animal Control Officers Kristen Schmidt and Lisa Slick.

Although the raccoon wasn't much of a paying customer, there was some upside to the mid-day scurry.
"At least there was a little bit of excitement," Eisler joked.
