Ridgewood Man's 'Toy Hunters' TV Show Picked Up

The Travel Channel was impressed enough with Ridgewood resident to pick up the series for a run beginning in August.

The president of Hollywood Heroes in Ridgewood, Hembrough is living his childhood dream as a toy dealer and collector. On the show, he travels the U.S. in search of the coolest, rarest toys.

"It's kind of like 'American Pickers' for toy collectors," Hembrough told Patch in January before the pilot episode aired. "We go in search of the rarest, most sought after toys of the last 30 years."

"Toy Hunters" premieres on Wednesday, Aug. 15 at 10 p.m. Check out Hembrough's personal collection on the Travel Channel's website.
