Strange Smell Shut Down Ridgewood Movie Theater

Those looking to catch a flick in Ridgewood on Wednesday night had to be turned away for a while due to a report of a suspicious odor, according to the Ridgewood Fire Department.

Cpt. Chris DuFlocq said on scene that firefighters believe the smell may have been due to a mechanical issue with the HVAC system.

The theater was closed to the public for a few hours but reopened just before 8 p.m.
