Author Overcomes Setbacks to Inspire Others
Through hard work, Jarrett Krosoczka made his lifetime dream of being an author and illustrator a reality
After several years of rejections by book publishers, Jarrett Krosoczka finally had his first children's book hit bookshelves around the county. Since then, 15 stories have been published from "Good Night, Monkey Book" to "Punk Farm" and the graphic novel series "Lunch Lady and the..."
Recently the Worchester, Mass., native was greeted by students at and schools during a visit to share his experiences, have lunch with a lucky group of students and autograph copies of his books.
"I began writing at an early age and loved inventing characters" Krosoczka said. "It took two years before 'Monkey Boy' was published. I kept writing and didn't get discouraged."
