Volunteer At The Bergen County Health And Family Services Shelter In Hackensack With St. Anastasia

Volunteers Needed On Saturday, January 10th! St. Anastasia’s will be providing the dinner meal for the Family Promise Walk in Dinner Program at the Bergen County Health and Human Services Shelter in Hackensack, NJ. The food is prepared in the Redmond Center kitchen and then we transport to the Shelter by 3pm. 

Volunteers for Kitchen / Meal Preparation at the Redmond Center: 4-6 Volunteers (10:30am - 2:00pm). We need to prepare food for 170+ meals (menu includes protein, starch, vegetable and salad). The food is prepared in the Redmond Center kitchen and then we transport to the Shelter by 3pm. 

Volunteer at Hackensack Shelter: Up to 4 volunteers, 3pm-6pm. If you would like to Volunteer to serve at food at the Hackensack Shelter from 3pm-6pm, please contact Lisa Rehm, 201-328-6721 no later than December 31st. We are allowed up to 4 volunteers. Volunteers will need to wear a hat (like a baseball cap) and the shelter provides work gloves. 

Donations: In addition to the prepared meal, we also need to provide the following items. If you can donate any of the following, they can be dropped off ONLY at the Redmond Center on Saturday, January 10th from 10:30am - 12:30pm.

170+ Desserts - individually wrapped (for example: individual packs of cookies, brownies, etc.)

170+ Dinner Rolls (for example a package of Hawaiian king dinner rolls)
