Hawks Tennis Volleys for Thomas Payne Benefit

River Dell High School Boys Tennis Team will volunteer at the Thomas Payne Benefit at the Maywood Tennis Club

The Seventh Annual Tennis Benefit for Family Promise of Bergen County, a non-profit organization, will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at the Maywood Tennis Club, 263 W. Passaic Street, Maywood, 8 to 11:30pm.

The benefit will be in honor of Thomas Payne who founded the event and was a faithful supporter of Family Promise of Bergen County, dedicated to helping families in need of food and shelter in Bergen County. 

Mark your calendars for a fun night of Tennis with a Round Robin for players of all levels. A clinic will be available for those not in the Round Robin. There will be Food and a Silent Auction for both players and non-players. This event is sanctioned by the USTA.

Members of the River Dell High School Boys Varsity Tennis Team will be in attendance. Dzan Harba and Patrick Thane will play an Exhibition Match starting at 8pm, and the other players will expedite the Round Robin providing scoring, line calls, and general support to keep the games going.

Team players include Dzan Harba, Patrick Thane, Brandon Pepi, Craig Looram, Anthony Lee and Tae Hee Lee. Coach Sue Keitel is excited to have the River Dell players give back to the local community through this tennis fundraiser event.
