River Edge VFW Gives Gift Cards to County Vets
Members of VFW Post 876 donated $200 to the County for their fellow veterans

The Bergen County Division of Veterans Services recently welcomed the support of VFW Post 876 in River Edge on behalf of all those who have served the United States military in Bergen County. Led by Post Commander Joe Maugeri, three representatives of the River Edge VFW joined their Commander in donating $200 worth of gift cards to Target stores to be used by struggling veterans in the county of Bergen.
“There are many veterans dealing with a challenging economy and personal issues that have left them with little resources for the essentials of life,” explained Bergen County Veterans Director Richard Daul. “We appreciate the kindness of VFW Post 876 in helping us meet the needs of the men and woman who once wore the uniform and now climb a steep hill every day.”
Jane Linter, Director of the County’s Department of Human Services, also expressed gratitude. “Our department is eager to help our Bergen County military veterans who need a helping hand.”
