Sattely Named County Counsel
Oradell resident James Sattely was promoted from Deputy County Counsel to County Counsel

Deputy County Counsel James X. Sattely, who has served in the Bergen County Counsel's office since 1999 under County Executives in both parties was promoted to County Counsel recently.
Sattely, a resident of Oradell, received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Fordham University and his Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law.
He served in the United States Army during Operation Enduring Freedom, and continues to serve in the United States Army Reserve as a Major and Judge Advocate General Corps. He sits on the Board of Directors of Bergen Catholic High School and is an active member of the community.

Sattely succeeds Jeffrey Ziegleheim who resigned his position effective February 10, 2012. In his letter of resignation, Ziegleheim thanked the County Executive “ for the opportunity to work side by side with her and her senior staff”, and said that he had been contemplating leaving public service for the private sector.
John P. Libretti , who has been the Assistant County Counsel since 2008, will serve as Deputy County Counsel. Libretti received his B.A. in Political Science and Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University and Law School; he is a member of the New Jersey and New York Bar.
