St. Joe's Gets into the Mardi Gras Spirit
Youngsters celebrated the beginning of the carnival season
Did you know that in some places around the world, Mardi Gras is considered to be not just a day but an entire season? It begins right after Epiphany (the celebration of the Three Kings) and ends the day before Ash Wednesday.
At the greenhouse, a five day per week program for pre-k three and four year old students, Mrs. Ana Rossig's students know all about it. They celebrated the start of the season with crowns, necklaces and jello treats in the Mardi Gras colors of green, purple and gold.
