5 Things You Need to Know: March 14

1. Spring Forward: Hopefully you remembered to change your clocks this weekend and made it to work on time this morning. Since we have officially sprung ahead we can look forward to warmer weather. Although we only have a high in the 40's today, things will get warmer with highs in the 50's throughout the week and maybe even reaching 60 by Friday.

2. Running to Honor a Fallen Hero: This Saturday, over 600 people turned out in Sea Bright to participate in the , and thanks to the beautiful weather, they were cheered on by almost 1,000 spectators. According to race organizers, the event raised over $21,000. The proceeds from the race help the KDM Foundation continue its annual scholarships for graduating seniors from Rumson Fair Haven High School, as well as its support for community projects such as the renovation of Memorial Field at Piping Rock Park in Rumson.

3. Play Ball: It feels like spring when the weather starts getting warmer, the ground gets a little greener and you hear the sound of an umpire yelling, "Striiiike". Well, today is that kind of a day. Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School's baseball team have their first home game today at 3:45 p.m. Head over to the home field to get that spring feeling and cheer on the Bulldogs as they start their season. 

4. What's Happening in Fair Haven? Are you wondering the same thing? If so, head to Fair Haven Borough Hall for the Council Meeting tonight. The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. A Centennial Meeting will take place right before at 6:00 p.m. Stop by to hear what they are planning for the 100th anniversary of the borough.

5. Have You Caught Senioritus?: Seniors at Rumson Fair Haven Regional High School have started the count down until graduation on June 17th. Check out to see their 100 nights celebration and hear what the students will miss most about RFH after the count down is over.
