Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:
1. Sunny Skies: Today will be sunny with a high near 60 degrees. According to the National Weather Service, the wind will be kicked up between 17 and 22 mph. The temperature in the evening will drop down to 37 degrees.
2. Maundy Thursday: Christians in Rumson and Fair Haven are celebrating Holy Thursday today. The Thursday before Easter commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles. The in Fair Haven is having a Hand Washing, Tenebrae, and Communion Service on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Click here for more information.

3. Equipment for Kids: Melissa Dominach and Bailey Taft are two girls who are making a difference in the lives of others. They are the founders of Equipment for Kids, an organization that collects gently used sporting goods and distributes them to local area kids in need. If you would like to donate your children's old equipment to the organizations, there are two convenient drop-off locations in the area:
- Nativity Church (corner of Hance Road and Ridge Road) in Fair Haven, NJ
- On the porch at 833 River Road in Fair Haven, NJ
4. iPhone App: Patch recently released our long-awaited iPhone App, meaning you can now access Rumson-Fair Haven Patch at the touch of your fingertips. There are two ways to download this app. You can click here and download it directly to your computer, then sync your device with Apple's iTunes to load it on the device. The other way to do it is by logging onto the App Store through your iPhone and do a search for Patch. The Patch App is free to download and once launched, you can choose the name of the Patch that you would like to be dialed into.
