5 Things You Need to Know Today: April 8
A round-up of useful information and events happening around Rumson and Fair Haven today.

Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:
1. Cloudy Skies, But Lots to Do: Today will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 49. According to the National Weather Service, there is a chance of rain, mainly after 2pm. There will be a low tonight around 40 degrees. Although it will be mostly cloudy throughout the weekend, there are lots of free things to do around Monmouth County. 2. Reading is FUN! Story time, snacks, crafts and pajamas - the perfect kid-friendly reading celebration. In honor of National Library Week, about 40 children met at the (RFH) library on Wednesday for a “Celebration of Reading” Pajama Party. Students in grades 1-3 from Deane Porter and Sickles school were invited to attend the celebration. The three schools worked together to make this event possible for the kids. 3. Yoga-licious: Head over to Bingham Hall this morning for Yoga with Kristen Gould. Take a deep cleansing breathe, relax and enjoy a great work out. Classes are available every Friday of this month from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Cost is $15 per class.
4. Show Off Your Art: The Fair Haven School District Art Show displayed the efforts of a year's hard work by students from preschool through 8th grade. Families poured into the gym at the Knollwood School on April 5th to hunt down all the art that their children had produced during the school year. The gym and corridors of the school were lined with the art in groupings by grade and then by piece. Click to see a great slideshow of students and their art.

5. Tomorrow, Tomorrow: Looking for some family fun this weekend? Your in luck! The Count Basie Theater presents the beloved classic musical . There will be three performances to choose from: Friday, April 8 at 8pm, Saturday, April 9 at 8pm and Sunday, April 10 at 3pm. The Broadway classic, which has some of the most memorable music, will be presented as a revival of the original play and it’s sure to be a treat that the entire family will enjoy. The play is presented by Phoenix Productions, a community theater company based in Red Bank.
