5 Things You Need to Know Today: Dec. 18

Still trying to think of a good holiday gift? Here are some great suggestions:

1. A gift that keeps on giving: Consider giving a gift that does double duty: a charitable donation in someone's name. 

2. A signed children's book:  in Fair Haven is hosting a book signing with author Artie Bennett today from 1-3pm. He will be signing his newest release, The Butt Book. The book was inspired by the Dr. Suess's The Foot Book, The Ear Book, The Eye Book, The Tooth Book, The Eyetooth Book.

3. A yummy suprise: A gift certificate to one of the many delicious restaurants in Rumson or Fair Haven. The new Japanese restaurant in town would make for a great holiday gift. San Su on River Rd. in Fair Haven just opened on Tuesday and has a large menu with both sushi and hibachi. They are open daily from 3-10pm. Plus, this may be a gift that you will get a bite of!

4. A ticket to see a show: is coming to the Two River Theater. This classic family tale will be brought to life with adults, kids and puppets. This show will make for a great  around the holidays. The show is playing Dec. 17-30 on select days at 7:00.

5. A unique find: Check out some of the local for you can not find anywhere else. They offer beautiful jewelry, vintage home furnishings and other one of a kind items that your friends and family will love.
