5 Things You Need to Know Today: June 14
A round-up of useful information and events happening around Rumson and Fair Haven today.

Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:
1. Sun and Showers: According to the National Weather Service, today will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 67 degrees. There is a chance of showers throughout the afternoon with an east wind around 11 mph. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 56 degrees. There is a slight chance of showers before 2am.
2. Red Means Stop: If you blow a light heading eastbound at the intersection of River and Fair Haven Roads, you could be caught on camera. Mayor Mike Halfacre said Fair Haven is looking to be included in a traffic light camera pilot program currently being conducted by the New Jersey Department of Transportation. 3. Rocking Out: The Academy of Music and Dramaheld recitals and drama performances at Fair Haven's Church of the Nativity on Saturday. Musicians from ages 5 to 17 performed two instrumental or vocal pieces each. Their skill levels ranged from absolute beginners cautiously picking their way through "Old MacDonald", to experienced musicians rocking out. Click to see photos of the adorable beginner musicians.
4. Hazmat Fire: A home on Sailors Way in Rumson has minor damages after a box truck full of pool chemicals caught fire in the driveway on Friday afternoon. The Rumson Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched to the home at approximately 2:40 p.m. on June 10 and the first arriving units “found a heavily involved box truck in the driveway threatening the 2.5 story home valued at over $3.0 million,” said Fire Chief Kevin McCarthy. 5. Graduation Season: The Rumson Country Day School and Holy Cross both held graduation on Friday, June 10.
