Here is a list of 5 things you need to know today:
1. Some Sun, Some Clouds: According to the National Weather Service, today will be partly sunny with a high near 78 degrees. There will be a southeast wind around 7 mph. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low around 62 degrees and a southwest wind between 5 and 7 mph.
2. Come So Far: The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School held their 2011 graduation ceremony on June 17, 2001 at 5:00 in the high school auditorium. Although the ceremony was moved inside due to rain, the excitement, joy and pride was still beaming off of each of the 221 graduates. 3. Movin' On Up: The eighth grade class of Forrestdale School said goodbye to middle school this past Thursday night, ready to embark on the adventure of high school. The graduation ceremony was held in the auditorium of Rumson - Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH), the very school that many of the graduating students will attend next fall. 4. Running Around Town: Runners jockeyed for position on Fair Haven's Hance Avenue Saturday as they ran the George Sheehan Classic, the annual 5-mile race that takes runners on a scenic tour of the borough and neighboring communities. Roughly 1,500 racers of all ages and skill levels showed up to participate. Despite high temperatures and significant humidity, the race went off without a hitch and saw runners come in under 30 minutes and over an hour and 20 minutes, all at their own pace. 5. Saying Goodbye: Clarence Clemons, 69, the legendary saxaphone player who was the "Big Man" in Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, died Saturday night after suffering complications from a stroke. Springsteen, a Rumson resident who began his nearly 40-year relationship with Clemons in Asbury Part, broke the news on his website, brucespringsteen.net, Saturday night, nearly a week after he suffered a stroke on Sunday, June 12.
