Awards and Recognition Given at Annual Rumson School District Ceremony

 Around 50 teachers, students, parents and neighbors gathered in the 8^th Grade Commons at the Forrestdale School on Wednesday night for the district’s Annual Recognition Ceremony.

Students performed music to entertain guests under the direction of Even Quigley and refreshments were served under blue skies and in the warm spring air.

During the ceremony, the following people were acknowledged for their contribution to the Rumson School District:

Patricia Quadarella, PTO President

Jill Healey, Foundation President

Janice Lake, Perfect Attendance Recognition

Robin Yaeger, Teacher of the Year

John Lebitsch, Teacher of the Year

Michael Sapnar, Recognition of a Board Member

Leslie Christopher, Retirement

Jane Talmage, Retirement

Patricia Whitaker, Retirement

Also during the ceremony, the Rumson Education Foundation presented the Board of Education a check for over $106,000 to go towards technology purchases and upgrades for both the Forrestdale and Deane Porter Schools.
