The Oyster Point Hotel is pleased to announce that Donna Payton is a 2026 Artist in Residence. Her paintings will be on display in a solo exhibition before being installed in the Hotel’s guest rooms. The exhibition opens with a gala cocktail reception on Friday, January 16th, at 6:00 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public.
Donna Payton’s work explores the complex relationships among energies, structures, and connections. Working in both two and three dimensions, she produces multiple mixed-media projects simultaneously and organizes them by themes.
The “Works on Paper” series explores theories of life energy through images of hearts, brains, pinwheels, and spirals, combined with stripes and dots. The pieces in the “Interconnected” series show connections with humanity, nature, universal energy, and the interconnectedness of all beings and everything.

She earned an MFA from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, CA, and a BFA from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO.
