Next door, police in Red Bank reported the following incidents recently:

• A theft was reported on May 3 at Brown Place. The victim reported that former tenants allegedly stole garden stone benches, a fountain, a lawn edger, a front door and a ladder when moving out.

Patrolman Ashon Lovick took the report and is investigating.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported on May 3 at Chestnut and West streets. The victim reported that a person threw a water bottle out of the window of a bus, striking his vehicle and damaging the plastic guard below the windshield wipers.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported to have occurred sometime between May 3 and 4 on East Front Street. The victim reported that unknown person(s) allegedly entered two vacant apartments and damaged the walls, leaving holes.

• An incident of criminal mischief, an attempted break-in, on Shrewsbury Avenue was reported on May 4. The victim reported that unknown person(s) allegedly damaged a lock on the side door of a residence by jamming a metal object into it, rendering it inoperable.

Patrolman Jonathan Quispe took the report and is investigating.

• An incident of criminal mischief was reported on May 4 at a Broad Street restaurant. The owner of the restaurant reported that two unknown males allegedly damaged a pocket type bathroom door by pulling it out of the wall, damaging the frame. and then fled the area.

• A theft was reported on May 8 at White Street restaurant. The victim reported that an unknown male allegedly removed industrial size metal oven pans from bin located at rear door of the restaurant.

• An incident of criminal mischief on Leighton Avenue was reported on May 8. The victim reported that unknown person(s) ripped plants out of a garden and threw topsoil into the front seat of a parked vehicle.
