Environmental Celebration Of Navesink, Shrewsbury Rivers In Rumson

RUMSON, N.J.— The fourth annual Rally for the Rivers Eco-Fest, an environmental celebration of the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers, will be Saturday morning, June 4, at Victory Park, 1 Lafayette St., in Rumson.

Clean Ocean Action, the Rumson Environmental Commission, the Rally for the Two Rivers Alliance, local environmental organizations and local businesses are all participating, organizers say.

The Eco-fest provides children and adults opportunities to dive into learning about the rich ecosystems of the region, said Kari Martin, advocacy campaign manager for Clean Ocean Action.

Attendees engage in fun by getting their Environmental Passports stamped after visiting various activity stations throughout the park.

The event lasts until 12:30 p.m. The ran date is June 5.

Once an Environmental Passport is complete, it is eligible for kids to redeem for Passport Rewards, which can be redeemed for small rewards to participating local businesses.
