It's "shore" sign that summer's over when you see the lifeguard stands off the beach and poised for some fall respite. Some of the stands were donated after Hurricane Sandy and are marked as such. The funding dedicated to building the new stands came from all over the country. Others managed to survive Sandy. Take a look at the photos above to see the marked versus unmarked stands.
