Primary Elections Today
Two open seats council seats in both Fair Haven and Rumson.

A Primary Election will be held today, June 7, for the nomination of candidates of each of the major political parties for the Nov. 8 General Election.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. during Tuesday’s primary election. There are no contested elections in Rumson or Fair Haven this year; however, you can still cast your ballot.
In Rumson, the mayor is up for re-election with no Republicans challenging, says Tom Rogers, the Rumson Borough Clerk. No Democrat is running for Mayor.

Incumbents Shaun Broderick and Ben Day are running for two Council seats as Republicans with no Republican challengers. Phillip Wagner is running as a Democrat.
In Fair Haven, there are two open seats. The only party that filed were the Republicans. Jerome Koch is running for one seat as an incumbent. Susan Sorensen is running for her first term.

"There could be a write in campaign by the Democrats, but I will not know until the voting cartridges are returned to me," explained Allyson Cinquegrana, the Fair Haven Borough Clerk.
At the county level, the following positions are open: one State Senate (11th, 12th, 13th & 30th State Leg Districts), 2 General Assembly (11th, 12th, 13th & 30th State Leg Districts), 1 Surrogate and 2 Members of the Board of Chosen Freeholders
