The run benefits Red Bank Catholic High School, The Source at Red Bank Regional High School and Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School, according to the run website.
In response to the problems of mental illness and suicide in the community, seven students from the three high schools came together in 2018 to form the Ridge Road Run 5K to increase mental health awareness and raise funds for mental health programming and support for their schools.
