Unique Gifts and Decorations Localize the Holidays

in Fair Haven is helping shore residents localize the holidays.

The unique shop filled with specialty items is littered with home décor and holiday decorations unique for the Two River Area.

Items include and coasters, dishtowels, miniature sailboats and a variety of signage.  Signs include “River Folk” and “My Fair Haven”.

“These items make a great gift because people really connect with their hometown names, “ said Kathy DeVincens, owner of Shutters.

For a festive feel, also offers handmade signs that read “Christmas in Rumson”. These signs feature most towns up and down the shore including Fair Haven, Little Silver, Oceanport, Red Bank, Monmouth Beach and much more.  The large “Christmas in…” signs go for $68 and small for $44.

DeVincens said the signs have really caught on and have become a craze around the area. “It’s the kind of thing that catches on. We have had to order so many since the first person hung one above their door this year!”

The signs are special ordered from the Midwest. DeVincens says if they do not have your hometown, they can request to have one made.
