Update: Bomb Threat Cleared On E. River Road

Monmouth County Police Dog sniffed the area and did not find anything. Police are still investigating.

The scene has been cleared at 97 E. River Road after a was called in a little after 10:00 this morning.

The fire department and the police closed all surrounding roads and informed the neighboring homes. "The building was evacuated and the Monmouth County bomb dog came out and checked the area," said Rumson Police Chief Richard Tobias.

The building is a law office owned by Thomas V. Giaimo.

Although the scene was cleared, the police are still looking into who made the call. "Officer Kevin Gaynor and the Monmouth County detective are investigating and I hope there is an arrest soon," said Tobias.
