Update: Second Round of Serial Theft from Cars in Fair Haven
On the morning and throughout the day on Monday, April 4 the Fair Haven Police Department received multiple reports of vehicles in town that were entered and had items removed from them.

More residents woke up this Monday morning, one week from the of theft of Fair Haven cars, to find everything missing from their unlocked vehicles.
According to a press release, the Fair Haven Police Department received multiple reports of vehicles in town that were entered on the morning of Monday, April 4. "In some cases, items were removed from them. Unknown subject(s) entered the unlocked vehicles, searched through the consoles and glove boxes of the vehicles and removed money, electronic equipment, gift cards and personal credentials," it said.
, over 30 residents had the same experience. "As people went to go to work or go about their day, they began to notice their stuff was missing from their cars," said Detective Jesse Dykstra, Fair Haven Police Department. "More and more incidents were reported as neighbors notified other neighbors and they went out to check their cars."

Last week the targeted cars were on "the West side of the borough, primarily on Lake Ave.," said Dykstra. This Monday the incidents "occurred in the central part of the Borough, closer to the river."
The department is still investigating the incidents and currently has no leads.

The Fair Haven Police Department is urging residents to remember to lock their car doors.
