Volunteers Needed to Wrap Toys for Randy Foye Foundation

The wrapping will take place at the Randy Foye Foundation office located at 97 East River Road Wednesday beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The is looking for volunteers to help wrap presents for their 4th annual holiday toy drive.

The foundation has been collecting age appropriate, unwrapped presents for boys and girls in grades K-8 since December 3rd. “Santa” will distribute all presents this Thursday to students at two Newark elementary schools before their winter break.

“It is our goal to collect 1,000 presents this year,” said Christina Vuocolo, vice president of the Randy Foye Foundation. The foundation had over over 10 collection sites: in Rumson; Randy's 2 alma maters, Villanova University and East Side High School in Newark; every Ray Catena dealership in New Jersey and New York; and 3 Dr. Jays stores located in downtown Newark.

The only downside to collecting so many toys is having to wrap them. “The volunteers are so important because we request unwrapped presents to ensure that they are appropriate gifts, but then we wrap them all up so that children get to know the joy of opening at least one present this holiday season,” explained Vuocolo.

The wrapping will take place at the Randy Foye Foundation office located at 97 East River Road tonight, Wednesday, beginning at 5:00 p.m. Interested volunteers are encouraged to contact christina@randyfoye.org.
