Police Chase Of Stolen Audi Ends With Crash On Rt. 3 In Secaucus
Paramus Police started pursuing the stolen Audi Q5 on Rt. 17 early Wednesday; the chase went onto Rt. 3 east, where the Audi crashed:
SECAUCUS, NJ — A police chase of a stolen car began on Rt. 17 and made its way into Secaucus in the pre-dawn hours of Wednesday, said Paramus Police.
Two Jersey City teens and a 20-year-old East Rutherford man were arrested.
Paramus Police officers received an alert regarding a stolen white Audi Q5 speeding on Rt. 17 just before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday. An officer spotted the car and tried to stop it by activating his emergency lights and sirens. The driver ignored him and continued southbound on Rt. 17 at a high speed, police said.

The Audi then got onto Rt. 3 eastbound and entered Secaucus, where the driver lost control and collided with a Chevy Suburban. The Audi came to a stop near mile marker 9.8 on Rt. 3 east in Secaucus.
Paramus Police, with assistance from Secaucus and Carlstadt Police Departments, removed all occupants from the stolen Audi. The three young men inside declined medical attention. Hakeem Grant, 18, of Jersey City, Donte Wright, 19, of Jersey City, and Yasir Black, 20, of East Rutherford were charged with theft of a motor vehicle and receiving a stolen motor vehicle, said Paramus Police Chief Robert Guidetti. The driver, Grant, was also charged with eluding.

The occupants of the struck Chevy Suburban also all declined medical attention, police said.
