SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

On Feb. 17 at 4:07 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Harmony Suites hotel on a report of a welfare check. Police arrested a 43-year-old male, John Carlo of Staten Island, NY for Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-3E], specifically a fixed blade dagger, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-3E], specifically metal knuckles, Certain Persons not to Have Weapons [2C:39-7a], Possession of CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Cocaine [2C:35-5b(2)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Carlo was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On Feb. 20 at 2:33 a.m., Secaucus Police located a moped with a stolen license plate affixed to it parked in the area of 1251 Paterson Plank Road. Police arrested a 28-year-old male, Yeury Marte Jimenez of Union City, NJ for Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A] along with a 34-year-old male, Andy Datt-Tavarez of Jersey City, NJ for Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A]. Both men were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody.

On Feb. 20 at 11:28 a.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department in relation to a recovered stolen motor vehicle on 01/01/2025 at 265 Secaucus Road, the police responded to Jersey City, NJ and took into custody a 21-year-old male, Alex De Los Santos of Jersey City, NJ for Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A], Fencing [2C:20.7.1B(1)] and Conspiracy to commit Fencing [2C:5-2A(1)]. De Los Santos was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Feb. 20 at 1:13 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Extended Stay hotel located at 1 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of suspicious activity. Police arrested a 28-year-old male, Pablo Delgado-Viteri of Lodi, NJ for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(1)]. Delgado-Viteri was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On Feb. 20 at 6:17 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Essex County jail to take into custody a 31-year-old male of Newark, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $2,500. He was unable to post bail for the involved warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Feb. 20 at 11:08 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 34-year-old male of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Orange, NJ with no bail. Officers from the Orange Police Department responded to Secaucus Police headquarters and took custody of the man for transport back to their jurisdiction.

On Feb. 21 at 1:47 pm., Secaucus Police responded to T.J. Maxx for a report of a shoplifting. Police arrested a 33-year-old male, Shadick Shamsuddin of West New York, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] for providing false information to the police, Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Possession of CDS believed to be Heroin [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Shammsuddin was also found to have 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s office with no bail. He was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Feb. 21 at 4:38 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 57-year-old male of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Linden, NJ in the amount of $800 with 10% allowed. He was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West New York, NJ in the amount of $500.00 with a 10 % option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West New York, NJ in the amount of $500.00 with a 10% option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Kearny, NJ in the amount of $200.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Edgewater, NJ in the amount of $189. He was released on his own recognizance pending future court dates in relation to the outstanding warrants issued out of West New York, NJ, Kearny, NJ and Edgewater, NJ. He was able to post bail for the warrant issued out of Linden, NJ. He was issued 5 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

On Feb. 22 at 2:06 p.m., Secaucus Police arrested a 55-year-old male of Somerset, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. He was taken into custody after he had entered Secaucus Police headquarters. He was taken to the Hudson County jail.

On Feb. 23 at 4:55 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a motor vehicle stopped in the area of the off ramp of Rt. 3 west and Meadowlands Parkway where the operator of the vehicle appeared to be asleep. Police arrested a 49-year-old male of Hackensack, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39-4:50]. He was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with an additional 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult.

On Feb. 23 at 10:05 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 45-year-old male of Clifton, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office with no bail. He was also issued 2 motor vehicle summonses and officers from the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police headquarters and took him back to their agency.

On Feb. 23 at 5:45 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart for a report of a shoplifting. A motor vehicle stop was conducted with a vehicle believed to be involved in the incident and police arrested a 54-year-old female, Tanisha Travis-Sims of Paterson, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office with no bail, 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office with no bail and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $750.00. Ms. Travis-Sims was additionally charged with Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(1)], Obstructing the Administration of Law [2C:29-1A], Resisting Arrest [2C:29-2(a)(3)(A)], Possession of CDS believed to be Crack Cocaine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2A] and Possession of Stolen Credit Cards [2C:21-6C(1)]. Both the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Office and the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office cleared their respective NCIC warrants. Paterson did release Ms. Travis-Sims on her own recognizance in relation to the outstanding warrant pending a future court date. Ms. Travis-Sims was issued her complaint summons along with 4 motor vehicle summonses and she was released from police custody.

On Feb. 23 at 5:06 p.m., officers from the North Bergen Police department responded to Secaucus Police headquarters and transferred custody of a 36-year-old male of the Bronx, NY for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $100. He was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Garfield, NJ with no bail and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Little Ferry, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Secaucus municipal court released him on his own recognizance in relation to the outstanding warrants pending a future court date. Garfield did also release him on his own recognizance pending a future court date. He was subsequently transported to the Little Ferry Police Department.
