Also, at the Tuesday night Council meeting Councilman James Clancy announced the very happy news that 2025 is the 125th year that Secaucus became incorporated as a town. So, 2025 is Secaucus' 125th birthday! To that end, the town will be throwing a big celebration 125th birthday on May 31 this year. The party will be held in Buchmuller Park and will be a family affair. Stand tuned for more details to come on that.
Anyone in town can purchase a banner to be flown above town this spring (similar to the Secaucus High School graduating seniors banners), where their family name will be printed with a photo.
There will also be a booklet and local residents and businesses are asked to advertise in the 125th Secaucus anniversary booklet. You can buy a small ad, a quarter page, a half page and a full page, which is $5,000. Stay tuned for more details on how to buy an ad in the booklet and the banners.
