2 In Critical Condition After Head-On Crash On Route 130 South Brunswick
Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles and needed to be extricated, police said.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - Two people are in serious condition after a head-on crash that took place Monday morning on Route 130 in South Brunswick, police said.
Around 7:03 a.m., a Mazda traveling northbound lost control, crossed the highway, and hit a pickup truck traveling on the southbound lanes.
According to police, the driver of the car seems to have suffered from some medical condition at the time of the crash.

Both drivers were trapped in their vehicles and needed to be extricated by the Monmouth Junction Fire Department.
South Brunswick EMS took both drivers to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where they are listed in critical condition.

The highway remains closed from Stults Road to Route 522, and authorities expect it to open sometime late afternoon.
