Dispose Unused, Expired Prescription Drugs Saturday In South Brunswick

The goal is to help residents to rid their medicine cabinets of unused and unneeded prescription medications.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Mark your calendars. The South Brunswick Police Department will be collecting unused and expired prescription drugs during the National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday.

The goal is to help residents to rid their medicine cabinets of unused and easily abused opioid painkillers, in addition to any other unneeded prescription medications. Residents can quickly drop off unused and expired prescription pills at the South Brunswick Police Department from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Medication should be taken out of the original container and be placed into plastic bags prior to arrival at the police headquarters. Medications in plastic containers or the boxes that contained them will not be accepted.

Liquid medications will be accepted in their original containers. Ensure that the cap is tightly sealed to prevent leakage. Syringes and other sharp instruments will not be accepted.
