Health Camp of New Jersey to hold their annual health fair

Health Camp of New Jersey – HCNJ will hold their annual Health Fair at Durga Mandir, 4240 NJ-27 in Princeton, NJ on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Health Camp of New Jersey, a non-profit organization under tax exempt code 501© (3) has been organizing the health fairs in New Jersey to benefit needy people in the South Asian community since 1999. The last day for online registration to participate in this health fair is August 2, 2023, via www.IHCNJ.org/events.
The health fair is open to all pre-registered participants who are uninsured or underinsured to receive preventive screening, education and counseling for medical, dental and mental health disorders. The comprehensive health screening will include blood test, EKG, vision screening for glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy, physical examination, dental screening, cardiology evaluation, physical therapy and pharmacy counseling, dietary counseling, various types of cancer screening and prevention education, women disorders, chronic diseases screening for diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disorders, mental health disorders, prostate, cervical, colorectal and breast cancer screening and education and other chronic debilitating diseases specifically targeted to the South Asian population. The NJ Commission for the Blind, Ritesh Shah Charitable Pharmacy, LabCorp and SAMHIN will collaborate their services during this health fair.
To date, HCNJ provided screening to more than 12,500 needy people in South Asian communities throughout the state since its inception in 1998 and detected more than 4,000 chronic diseases abnormalities. HCNJ will celebrate their 25th Anniversary Gala event on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at Balaji Temple Auditorium in Bridgewater, NJ. As part of the 25th Anniversary celebration, HCNJ will have a new initiative to open a community health center in New Jersey by 2026 to benefit needy individuals and follow-up services throughout the year.
