Richard Baratta who is an American film maker, consultant and movie producer. Richard takes a hands on approach with unit management as well as above the line production. He was charged in various capacities in notable films such as the Wolf Of Wall Street, Joker, the Irishman and more which you can find on his IMDB.

Recently the West Orange Classic Film Festival screened Desperately Seeking Susan on the celebration of the film's 40th anniversary. In this his first film Desperately Seeking Susan an unconventional mystery that could have only come from the offbeat ‘80s, with that decade's reigning Queen of Pop, Madonna. Film producer Richard Baratta was guest speaker and worked on the film's location management. It was a very well received event.

Special thanks to guest-speaker, Richard Baratta, a film producer and esteemed jazz drummer who began his film career as a location manager on DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN. The audience loved him! He did a great, engaging job. He also was gracious enough to get us copies of Susan Seidelman's autobiography actually autographed by Susan, and he created special photo prints of the cast-and-crew wrap photo that he autographed. One of our best speakers ever!
