Church-To-Church Building Sale In The Oranges

The Church of Pentecost has purchased a former church in Essex County with plans to keep using the facility for "worship purposes."

ORANGE, NJ — The Church of Pentecost has purchased a former church in Essex County with plans to keep using the facility for “worship purposes,” according to realtors.

The Church of Pentecost bought the property at 170 Central Avenue in Orange, which formerly served as a place of worship for the seller, Fountain of the Living Word Church. The 10,000 square-foot, single-story structure – which features a “distinctive canopy above its front entryway – is located a short drive from Route 280 and the Garden State Parkway, Sheldon Gross Realty said Tuesday.

“I’ve worked with the Church of Pentecost for three years as the organization sought out a new location that would most effectively address its varied requirements,” Sheldon Gross Realty Vice President Eric Weston said.

“They considered quite a few options, but without a doubt, 170 Central Avenue is the ideal property,” Weston said. “Its square footage is the exact size needed, and it provides extremely easy access for worshipers regardless of which direction they’re coming from.”
