Craigslist Crime Solved

A juvenile was arrested on May 12 by detectives after an investigation revealed that he was one of the perpetrators involved in a Craigslist robbery of an Ipad which took place in April.

at approximately 4:05 p.m. he was robbed of an Apple Ipad after he was struck in the head.

The victim stated that he had posted the item for sale on Craigslist and had gone to Stanley Rd. in South Orange to make the sale. As the victim was walking down the street he was approached by a black male approximately 18-20 years of age wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. The actor then struck the victim in the head with a white stick and fled the scene with the victim's Ipad. The victim stated that when he fell to the ground he observed a handgun in the actor's waistband. The victim stated that the actor fled through the backyards of Stanley Rd. toward Newark accompanied by two other black males. 

The investigation is continuing at this time.
