One test of a classic is how it is interpreted with each new generation. South Orange Middle School artists put their own spin on familiar paintings, displaying their works at School in Action Night.
Student artists spoke eloquently of surrealism and the impressionists -- but it was the adults who seemed most impressed.

Patch asked locals to identify and name the work/or artist for each of pictured painting. The paintings are numbered in the captions, so simply send in a numbered list of your best guesses. (And there are some hints!) The winner, Sullivan, drawn at random from those who answered correctly, will receive a $25 gift card to Eden Gourmet.
Art for art's sake is good, but art for a prize is even better!
