Film Series Kicks Off at Library
"Absurdity of War" Viewed Through Humor, Satire.

“The Absurdity of War,” is the subject of a fall film series beginning Tuesday, Oct. 25 at the South Orange Public Library, 65 Scotland Road, South Orange.
The series will offer a commentary on war and it perpetrators through humor or satire and will be followed by a discussion led by a film expert.
Kicking off the series will be the Charlie Chaplin film, “The Great Dictator.” The discussion will be facilitated by John Columbus, founder and director of the Black Maria Film Festival.
Other films featured in the series include, “Dr. Strangelove and How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb” (Nov. 29) and “Life is Beautiful” (Dec. 27).
