First Floods Hill Concert Features Billy Joel Music

Tonight's concert begins at 7:30

The first of South Orange's outdoor concerts at Floods Hill begins tonight at 7:30 p.m. The series of five concerts, which are free and open to the public, kicks off with Matthew Friedman and his band, Stiletto, performing the music of Billy Joel.

Friedman is a musician, singer and performer known best for his role as Billy Joel or the Piano Man in the First National Touring Company of Billy Joel and Twyla Tharp's acclaimed musical, Movin' Out.  According to the Daily News review of Movin' Out,  "Friedman's knockout rendition of 'Goodnight Saigon' truly takes your breath away."

If past concerts are any predictor, a good many neighbors and friends will gather at Floods Hill. Food is available, and the ice cream trucks are on standby.
