Gaslight Fire at Centre and Irving Streets; Repair Underway

PSE&G crews are at the corner of Irving and Centre Streets this afternoon, repairing a gaslight that reportedly caught on fire. There's no official word on this yet, and whether this is related to Hurricane Irene, but crews on the scene agreed that it's likely that a regulator was damaged in the recent storm.

There is no danger, and the repair will be complete shortly, but traffic is very slow in the area.
