Got a Gotham-Loving Teen? Big News!

Hoping to capture the attention of early back-to-school shoppers, owners of teen girls' shop Gotham City Clothing Store are trying their hand at a social networking  sales with its own 48-hour Groupon-type promotion.

Between now and Friday morning, the time of the “Glam-azing Savings” special, customers can pay $40 for a coupon for $80 worth of merchandise.

“This is the first time we've done something like this,” said co-owner Gail Levy. “We're getting a nice response, so we'll see.”

If you live locally and have a teenage girl in your life, chances are you’ve at least heard of Gotham City. The store was even featured on The Real Housewives of New Jersey last year. If you missed it, you can see the clip here, as well as the store’s website.

"That's old news but no one ever tires of seeing that," she said.

There are some rules to the online coupon special, so be sure to read the fine print. The coupon is purchased online but is not good for online purchases, and although Gotham is known for its special occasion dresses, the coupon is not valid for dresses. The deal must be purchased by the deadline and be used during one visit on or before Sept. 10, 2011.
