Jerseys from Jersey Collection at Kari's Cafe

Those outgrown Cougar, Kicker or other soccer uniforms have another chance to get out and play. Local volunteers are collecting soccer jerseys,  shorts, socks, and cleats by way of Jerseys from Jersey. The jerseys and other attire are gathered and sorted into sets of 11, and are then sent to children in Bangladesh, China, Nepal, and Guatemala. Each school or group receives enough jerseys to outfit two teams and a soccer ball.

While jerseys  and more were collected on Saturday at Borden Park, there's another opportunity to donate for those of us who haven't yet spring cleaned -- or whose soccer season hasn't yet ended. From June 10-24th, you can bring your clean uniforms to Kari's Cafe on Springfield Avenue (1883 Springfield Avenue).
