Tonight: Jill Sobule Joins Juicebox to Benefit Musicians on Call
A South Orange house concert features music and outdoor fun
Jill Sobule is in the house. The singer-songwriter described by The New York Times as, “among the stellar singer-songwriters of the last decade. Topical, funny and more than a little poignant,” will perform in South Orange on Saturday, July 23. Sobule will perform with Juicebox, a band with South Orange roots; the concert will benefit Musicians on Call (MOC.)
MOC, explains Leslie Goldman of Juicebox, and organizer of the house concert, was founded in 1999 with the mission of bringing live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities.
This is the third annual house concert in South Orange for Sobule. “It has been a wonderful, magical evening in the past and I’m sure it will be even better this year,” says Goldman. “The evening will conclude with Juicebox joining Jill to play some songs from Jill’s new album.”

“We are all very excited this year to be donating a portion of the proceeds to the great organization, Musicians On Call,” she continues. “We hope the community will come out to help support MOC and have a fantastic night of music with friends in our own back yard.”
