Marking A Decade Since 9/11 Hand in Hand
South Orange's Matt and Jennifer Glass and Eventage invite residents to participate

On Saturday, Sept. 10, at 8:46 a.m., thousands of locals will join hands to form a human chain along the waterfront from the tip of Lower Manhattan heading north.
The day’s events are being produced pro bono by South Orange’s own Eventage and owners Matt and Jennifer Glass.
After grasping hands, participants are encouraged to visit historic Battery Park to post a message or memento on a Wall of Remembrance, portions of which will be displayed at the 9/11 Memorial Museum for years to come. In addition, downtown non-profits will be hosting special community service projects throughout the neighborhood.

Hand in Hand -- Remembering 9/11 is sponsored by The City of New York, Manhattan Community Board 1, and is free and open to the public. However, pre-registration is required (see below).
Julie Menin, Chairperson of the event, explains that Hand in Hand – Remembering 9/11 gives “the public a way to show their respect for those who have been lost and show their determination to stand connected in unity as we continue to look toward the future of Lower Manhattan and our city. Hand in Hand—Remembering 9/11 is a simple and meaningful way for everyone to mark the anniversary.”
