Movie Theater At South Orange Arts Center Is Temporarily Closing
All other SOPAC programming will continue, the venue said.
SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — The movie theater at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) is temporarily closing, the venue recently announced.
The arts center, which is located at 1 Sopac Way, posted the following message on social media earlier this week:
“We want to inform you of the temporary closure of our movie theater, previously operated by an independent entity leasing space within our center. This change affects only the movie theater; all other SOPAC programming—including live performances, educational programs, and community events—will continue as scheduled. We look forward to the opportunity to reimagine the cinematic experience at SOPAC and are actively exploring new concepts to better serve our community.”
“Thank you for your continued support during this transition—we’ll keep you updated on the movie theater’s reopening as plans take shape,” the venue added.
