Penzeys Spices is Coming to NJ

The spice store plans to open in September

Good news for locals who like it spicy: Penzeys Spices is coming to the area. The store, located at 392 Springfield Avenue in Summit, is scheduled to open in September of this year, according to a Penzeys spokeswoman.

Penzeys is actively looking for staff (see description below). Emails went out to customers, generating a lively thread on MaplewoodOnline.

The store, which has a small outlet at Grand Central Station, has loyal customers because it carries many hard-to-find spices, such as ajwain seed and kala jeera. Penzeys also sells spice blends, such as Northwoods seasoning.
