
Power is returning to South Orange and beyond. PSE&G spokesperson Bonnie Sheppard reports fewer than 9000 outages around the county; an updated breakdown by town is not yet available.
She further notes: 750,000 people were affected by power outages over the weekend. More than 90 percent of those people have had power restored. As of around 4 p.m. Tuesday, 74,000 people across the state are still without electricity. This is down from 85,000 people without power reported by PSEG at 12:30 p.m.
Water in South Orange is fine for drinking and all other purposes.
