SOMS Grown Up and Glammed Out

The South Orange Middle School eighth grade was dressed to celebrate, as they gathered at school on Monday evening. Buses took them to Mayfair Farms for the annual dinner dance, a celebration that marks the end of the year and the end of their middle school experience.

Parents photographed their children, and some lingered, waving the buses out of the parking lot. Many marveled at how grown up the kids looked, at least for this evening. 

"I'll see you on Thursday at graduation," one mother said to another, as she left. "We'll sit together for a real good cry."
