SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

9:30 am—Floods Hill—Bicycle Rodeo

The Parking Authority teaches community children about bicycle safety using a course created on Floods Hill.

11:30 am—Village Parade—Meadowbrook Lane

Bring your Fourth-of-July decorated bicycles, strollers, wagons (anything on wheels EXCEPT cars) and march, roll or stroll from Floods Hill to the South Orange Community Pool. PRIZES will be awarded for “Most Creative”, “Most Patriotic” and “Zaniest”. NO PETS PLEASE!

12:00 pm– 4th of July Ceremony—Cameron Field

Judging and awarding of prizes.

1:00-4:00 pm—Model Boat Exhibit—Duck Pond

The South Orange Seaport Society will proudly display model boats at the Duck Pond.

1:00-4:00 pm—Hambone Kelly Banjo Band

Enjoy an afternoon of patriotic music in the shade under the evergreen trees near the pool entrance. Requests welcome!

AT THE COMMUNITY POOL

The pool will be open on the 4th of July to ALL South Orange Residents from 10:00 am-8:00 pm. Proof of residency (Recreation & Cultural Affairs I.D. Badge, driver’s license or utility bill) will be required at the gate. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Special afternoon events: 

12:30-3:30 pm—Clown walkabout

12:30 and 3:00 pm—Puppet Show

1:30 and 2:30 pm—Magic Show

Concession Stand

Our pool concession stand will  be open all day, offering 4th of July specials.
