South Orange Firehouse Cake Comes to Eden

Dreamcakes bakes a cake for South Orange

No hints here, but if you look closely at the figures on the cake and then at the photos, you might just make a match.

unveiled the Village of South Orange Fire Station & Fearless Fire Fighters cake on Saturday. The cake, which will be on permanent display, is modeled after South Orange’s firehouse and the firefighter figures are inspired by the SOFD.

“Our goal was to commemorate the beautiful town of South Orange, paying tribute to its current renaissance, while remembering its heritage,” said Barranco. “Not only is the Fire Station the most spectacular landmark building in South Orange, but it reminds us of all the great American fire houses across our towns and our nation that have helped keep us safe. What better time to pay tribute to them than now, as we count down to memorial day, remembering all who have protected us in troubled times past and those who protect us today.”

 Dreamcakes celebrated its grand opening at Eden Gourmet with samples of gourmet cakes, cookies and other sweets, along with complimentary coffee. The big attraction for many, of course, was the Village of South Orange Fire Station & Fearless Fire Fighters cake – not to mention the firefighters who came to mark the occasion.
